Electrical Engineer

My client in the Automotive Industry is seeking to employ an Electrical Engineer at their Uitenhage Branch.

Job Description And Responsibilities

The release of Electrical components for vehicles
The resolution of design related problems on all locally manufactured platforms
Co-ordination of testing and release of components and system, locally and at source
Maintaining and updating the BOM system
Problem analysis
Maintaining and updating the bill of materials system
Cost analysis of various components, systems and projects
Cost saving (PKO) initiation and investigations
Project management on new or changed systems and components

Minimum Requirements

A Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or National Diploma (Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering)
A minimum of 5 years' design and development experience in an automotive components for volume production
High level of understanding of technical/engineering concepts and design
Good communication skills
Problem resolution capability
Project management capability
Good interpersonal skills (team and negotiating skills)
Ability to lead and operate within a team
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
High degree of computer literacy (MS Office package, CAD)
Ability to work and complete tasks without supervision
Ability to apply preventative and corrective tools and methods during the development process
German language proficiency advantageous
