Job Overview:
The Stock Controller will oversee the full stock control process and is responsible for ensuring that goods received or dispatched from the Company are in good condition and correspond with the correct documentation. Ensure accurate stocks/records are held. Responsibilities include but are not limited to tracking of shipments, overseeing inventory audits, and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. Successful candidates should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control Management
- Responsible for effective administration of all processes and procedures related to stock control
- Receiving and dispatching stock into the company by ensuring all documentation is correct and goods received are in good order in terms of condition and product specification.
- Ensure stock is handled with due care and no damage occur in the handling and transport process.
- Ensure correctness in the counting and recording, as per the procedure, and that all documentation is neatly completed and that stock is reconciled and confirmed with the invoice and signed off.
- Compiling and maintaining an accurate and up to date electronic stock register of all material within the stores.
- Ensure stock meet the required specific health and quality standards.
- Stock take and stock adjustments processes.
- Stock management operations in line with Stock Inventory Control.
- Ensuring that orders are despatched accurately and timeously.
- Facilitating loading of materials onto the relevant transport in accordance with safety procedures.
- Ensuring that deliveries are made timeously and correctly.
- Ensuring a stock rotation system is operated.
- Keeping the store in a clean and safe working condition, storing goods in the correct emplacement to maximise operational function.
- Support teams by carrying out physical stock control audits and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Reporting to Procurement Manager on overall status of material deliveries and dispatches.
- Reconciling delivery receipts with purchase orders and invoices.
- Actively participate as a member of the team, performing any other task, not specified herein.
- Maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with relevant Acts applicable to the role.
- Controls, manages and governs the processes and systems within the area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimise business risk.
- Identifies training/development needs and pro-actively selects effective solutions to address development gaps.
- Ensures that a personal development plan is developed and implemented.
