Our company a retailer of hardware, paint & building material is looking for a stock controller buyer at our Mulder's drift Store.
Job requirements:
- The ideal candidate will use their previous skills and experience to work and manage the daily the stock requirements within the store.
- The ideal candidate must be sure to exhibit attention to detail and ensure that all work carried out is done accurately and timeously.
- The position can be a stressful one and the stock controller buyer is required to react to situations and be capable of making quick but good decisions.
- Further to this, it is important that the stock controller buyer is able to prioritize his time in order that the job is done efficiently.
- Std 10/Grade 12.
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Stock Controlling and warehousing.
- PC literate in MS Outlook, Excel.
- Knowledge and experience on accounting software systems. Omni Accounting will be advantages.
- Team player.
- Ability to deal with customers and suppliers at all levels.
- Thorough, meticulous and accurate.
- Positive in manner.
Job responsibilities:
- Control of stock, including but not limited to, auditing, counting, reconciling, replenishing, ordering, issuing, and condemning.
- Perform cyclic stock counts.
- Stock movement, logistics and arranging transport- planning deliveries.
- Receiving or dispatching of goods.
- Compile orders according to the minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Reporting and forecasting.
- Take responsibility for labeling and barcoding of goods and shelves.
- Capture invoices during the Data Capture's absence.
- Check the quality of packaging for any breakages, damage, leakage or any fault (or defect) that may affect the quality of the product.
- Adhere to specified policies, standards, and procedures to prevent and reduce wastage of financial resources.
