Main tasks
The receiving of stock and allocating to consignment stock, off-loading, opening and unpacking of parcels received
Assist customers with the collections promptly and ensure that the relevant documents are completed
Afterhours stand by when required
Verifying the items received against the relevant documents to be correct in quantity and part number
Check items received and the general condition of the packaging to be free from any defects
Ensuring the part number and description is written correctly on the stock requisition
The picking of items as per documents.
Report any deviations found immediately to supervisor/manager on site
Ensure the goods for dispatch are packed in such a way to protect the goods up to the point of delivery
Assist with surplus returns, check picking accuracy, part numbers and quantities Ensuring spare part availability on site
Report on stock consumption
Key competencies
Grade 12 with 2 years warehouse experience
Stores experience on a mine site would be advantageous
Computer literacy
Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers
