Gibela Rail Transport Consortium invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Storekeeper position. The position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. The successful candidate will be based in Radjespark, Midrand.
Purpose of the Job
Receive, Store, Pack and deliver material to ensure project satisfaction (material availability). In charge of physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, line replenishment, packaging, shipping).
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3 Certificate.
- 2-3 Years experience working in stores.
- Valid Fork-Lift Truck certification
- IT literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and ERP.
- Apply the businesses processes and best practices in the following areas:
- Reception
- Stores
- Operation line replenishment
- Inventory counting
- Packaging
- Shipment
- IT tools for Warehouses
- Apply the appropriate methodologies to improve the performance of the Warehouses and Operation delivery (APSYS)
- Apply rules to operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
- Inventory accuracy.
- Reception / packaging time.
- Line replenishment lead time.
- Customer service level.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Dynamic able to anticipate and organise, while being able to manage emergencies.
- 2-3 Years experience working as storeman.
- Planning & Organising. Prioritises day-to-day workload.
- Flexible and Adaptable. Can adapt to new ideas.
- Team Player. Supports team members.
