The Student Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager. All work is done under the guidance of a senior engineering resource. The main responsibilities for a Student Engineer are performing research, analyzing research results, and creating research reports, contributing to design elements and design documentation based upon engineering discipline, and contributing to the research, development, and design of engineering projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to analysis, inspection, design, and testing activities
- Contribute to the preparation of design documentation (specifications, diagrams, calculations reports, etc.)
- Make safety, security, and quality an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
- Studying a Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear, Civil) or Science Field
- Basic knowledge of engineering design and analysis.
- Ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Must have working knowledge or be familiar with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and possess the ability to effectively use various analytical, design, project management, and presentation computer programs as required.
- Have excellent time management skills.
- Possess excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with others.
- Analyze and solve problems daily.
- Maintain collaborative, courteous, and respectful relationships.
