Description
As an Assistant Buyer you will contribute to the continued growth of Superbalist as a partner to the Buyer within a product category (or categories). Your primary responsibility will be to support the department across all administrative functions related to the purchasing of product.
Reports to:
Senior Buyer
The Role
- Complete all administrative documentation that is related to loading of products into the Superbalist system.
- Communicating with suppliers to gather all information required to load product.
- Processing of all amendments and communicating changes to relevant parties.
- Supporting the customer service team in resolving product and order queries and complaints and product sourcing and pricing queries.
- Managing orders through the critical path process.
- Pulling weekly reports on incoming stock and liaising with suppliers for keep samples.
- Managing sample process between retail and production.
- Prepping of product and documents for quarterly SWOT's
- Pulling images for weekly sales reports or product meetings as requested by the buyer.
- Assisting Buyers with order placements.
- Maintaining the retail sample room.
- Relevant Diploma or Degree
- 2+ years' experience in retail is preferable. E-commerce experience is advantageous
- Competent in Microsoft applications (Excel, PP etc) also V-Lookup functions
- Strong computer skills and an affinity to learn new systems
- Basic Analytical Skills
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication
