Viking Fishing, a Division of Sea Harvest, has a position available for a Ship Superintendent reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage all engineering requirements on designated vessels.
- Manage internal workshops- and contractors performance on designated vessels.
- Ensure all day to day- and planned maintenance up to date.
- Manage designated vessel drydocking.
- Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
- Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
- Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.
- Tech / National Higher Diploma (T4). Class or Higher Grade Marine Engineer or equivalent.
- 10-15 years post qualification applicable ship repair experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
- Sober habits
- Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
