Viking Fishing Division (South Arm)

Viking Fishing, a Division of Sea Harvest, has a position available for a Ship Superintendent reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering requirements on designated vessels.
• Manage internal workshops- and contractors performance on designated vessels.
• Ensure all day to day- and planned maintenance up to date.
• Manage designated vessel drydocking.
• Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
• Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
• Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.

Position Requirements

• Tech / National Higher Diploma (T4). Class or Higher Grade Marine Engineer or equivalent.
• 10-15 years post qualification applicable ship repair experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be physically fit.
• Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
• Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Sober habits
• Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
