Opeations Supervisor

Brief Description

Key Responsibilities Include The Following
  • Responsible for managing and prioritizing print workload to achieve maximum out and meet customer deadlines.
  • Monitoring the progress of various tasks, coordinating resources, ensure printing jobs and delivery are according to schedule.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, inspecting work, and addressing any issues that may affect the quality of the printed materials and mailing services.
  • Reception duties include dealing with customer enquiries, giving quotes and taking payments.
  • Dispatching vehicles for delivery and collect of various print and mail materials
  • Book vehicles for preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain manual filing system and store documents in the Shared Library.
  • Stock count, ordering stock, receiving, and dispatching
  • Maintaining Strong relationships with clients by ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with Internal Customers and External Service Providers to develop cooperation and Teamwork.
  • Communicating with customers about print jobs and mailing services status, addressing any concerns or r providing updates on delivery schedule.
  • Ensure that the customer approves the quotation before the job is sent for production quote is submitted to the customer for approval before the job is sent for production.
  • Responsible to invoice all accepted quotations.
  • Responsible for Internal Requisitions or Payment and submit to Line-manager and finance unit.
  • Management of staff as per the Universitys HR Policies and Processes
  • Effective management of Disciplinary Issues as the Universitys Disciplinary Code/Code of Conduct, with the help of HR/ER Office.
  • Understand University Health & Safety Policy, and Emergency Fire Procedures.
  • Support, facilitate and assist with the implementation of new innovations, initiatives, and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Post-Matric Qualification in Printing/Marketing or Equivalent (NQF Level 6)
  • Valid Drivers License
  • 3 years in Printing and Mailing Environment
  • Printing Industry Experience
