Job description:
The role, reporting to the Procurement Manager, will be support in the following activities:
General and Task Management (Buyer)
To be the Procurement point for indirect materials of the Plant
Define and execute the Procurement strategy for indirect materials according to the Procurement Managers guidelines and in coordination with global commodity managers
Supporting the Procurement Manager for direct materials purchasing according to his guidelines and in coordination with global commodity managers
Exploit and execute group synergies for sourcing, both indirect and direct
Negotiate contracts with suppliers
Monitor and improve supplier performances (PPV DPO, service level, quality, etc.)
Analyse actual results and provide forecast for Procurement KPIs
General and Task Management (SQA)
Collaborate with R&D teams to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve cost competitiveness or supply constraints
Support supplier selection through robust qualification processes and based on screening, prioritize preferred suppliers
Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfillment
Ensuring suppliers are able to meet requirements for performance, quality, cost and delivery of components and requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other applicable system and reputation requirements
Develop positive relationships and work closely with buyer to manage, implement and track supplier/engineering design changes, capacity studies and New Product Introductions, and transfers
Specify, develop, and validate advanced technology, quality information and test equipment
Specify and develop product acceptance/test procedures that relate to a complex process (state-of-the-art) or highly complex product
Responsible for driving supplier component development and approval though Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), supplier interaction and support cost reduction activity
Perform new supplier validation audits
Ensure components key milestones are achieved during new product development
Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements (8 stage incoming material)
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Prepare reports and present progress of components qualification at project meetings
Meet target ensuring respect of assigned budgets
Requirements:
Degree in Procurement or relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in a Production environment in FMCG industry
