The opportunity:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Logistics Division which will help reshape and evolve our supply chain to ensure that it is future fit. This role will be involved with the optimising the TFG Supply Chain and collaborate with suppliers to ensure that they meet the DC and delivery conformance metrics.
Responsibilities:
- To identify, develop and implement Logistics and business improvement opportunities
- Work with various trading divisions to ensure that best practice is being consistently adhered to around supply chain processes
- Effectively manage projects and initiatives for Logistics, end to end
- Continuously drive opportunities for optimisation of the supply chain through cost reduction, profit improvement, increased speed and enhanced customer satisfaction
- Extract delivery conformance reports for analysis and ensure all reporting information is accurate.
- Use reporting information to prepare:
- DC delivery conformance scorecards
- Trends on non-conformance by Supplier or Brands
- Administer Charge recoveries from import suppliers, through supplier and business engagement.
- Administer the charge backs to Suppliers due to Non-Conformance. (Local and Import)
- Analysis and data preparation.
- Support the business by generating reports on product flows through the DC ( DC Flows, Stock ageing, and/or adhoc)
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Monitor internal customers and external suppliers adherence to Service Levels Agreement (SLA) and ensure that performance measures are agreed on and communicated.
- Support the business decision-making process with key information about supplier performance and compliance.
- Assist new suppliers with relevant information relating to Delivery Conformance
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Science/Management, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain will be an advantage
- 3+ years working experience in Retail/FMCG or Supply Chain/Logistics Environment will be an advantage
- A valid drivers licence
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Operations and/or Retail
- A customer centric approach
- Problem solving, judgement and self-management skills
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good people management and project management skills
- An eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills
- Computer Literacy [MS Word and MS Excel (intermediate level) and MS PowerPoint]
- Use of BI tools knowledge such as Tableau (Advantageous but not required)
- Sound accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team;
- To confidently influence and persuade at all levels
- Resilience and emotional maturity to work through in highly pressurised environment
