Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Supply Chain Analyst to be based at Rosebank, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Integrated Supply Chain Director.
Purpose Of The Job
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping our end-to-end supply chain strategy, optimizing networks and processes, and providing insights that drive and deliver continued operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have advanced analytical capabilities, significant experience in Supply Chain, expert proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, strong communication and presentation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, finances, logistics, and planning.
Key Performance Areas
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze end-to-end supply chain data, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
- Build data sets for client engagements.
- Gather data on each step within supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs.
- Assess the companys processes and inventory, then use that data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize data from multiple sources, including manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and finance.
- Develop and maintain complex supply chain models, dashboards, and reports using Excel and PowerBI to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Contribute to strategic supply chain initiatives, including network planning, Third-Party Logistics (3PL) optimization, supply planning, and route-to-market strategies.
- Provide insights into supply chain finances, understanding cost drivers, budget management, and financial performance evaluation.
- Apply LEAN and SCOR methodologies to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and agriculture teams to align supply chain operations with production and sourcing strategies.
- Support the development of the supply chain strategy by providing analytical insights, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
- Evaluate and optimize 3PL partnerships to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.
- Use commercial acumen to analyze market trends, customer demands, and competitive landscape to inform supply chain decisions.
- Communicate complex insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports.
- Drive innovative solutions and apply best practices in supply chain operations.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain analysis, with a strong track record in driving supply chain improvements.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets to derive meaningful insights.
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation techniques.
- Strong expertise in data visualization using PowerBI or similar tools to create actionable dashboards and reports.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain dynamics, logistics, planning, and financial implications.
- Familiarity with LEAN and SCOR methodologies for process improvement.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
- Commercial acumen with a deep appreciation for how supply chain impacts route-to-market and customer experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing supply chain challenges.
- Familiarity with network planning, route optimization, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partnerships.
- Understanding of how supply chain interacts with manufacturing and agriculture processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
