Main Purpose
The Factory Supply Chain Manager that will manage, guide and develop all Supply Chain functions at plant in order to meet production and business needs at required performance levels and at optimized costs.
A day in the life of a Factory Supply Chain Manager:
- Manage, guide and develop the factory supply chain team to ensure:
- Detailed production scheduling consistently delivering achievable plans for both manufacturing and filling/packaging operations within given Master Production Schedule, whilst minimizing production costs
- Material management planning (inbound material management) makes raw & packaging material available on time and quality at best overall costs for seamless manufacturing: coordinates with suppliers of raw and packaging materials for maintaining service levels while constantly seeking improvement possibilities.
- Material handling runs warehousing operations for raw and packaging material and for finished goods within company guidelines; records accurately the inventory and checks inventory rotation, controls and coordinates all documents relevant to receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure smooth operations by effective communication and close collaboration with all internal parties at the factory.
- Monitors and manages Safety, Health and Environment, Quality and CARE regulations.
- Collaborate with peer factory Supply chain managers to share best practices
- Development of careers, succession plans, development and coaching for factory supply chain personnel in close co-operation with Supply chain management
- Manage a team of 18 people (8 direct and the remaining indirect)
- Inbound and outbound warehousing
- Procurement experience
- Minimum Supply Chain/ Logistics or Procurement degree or diploma
- 6-8 years overall experience with 3 years managing a large team within an FMCG/ factory environment and Supply Management Chain end to end experience.
- Procurement experience, warehousing, material planning and production experience
- Managing a large team (directly and indirectly)
- Relevant SAP experience essential
- Good communication skills essential
