Context & Scope
To ensure an accurate & efficient planning and scheduling of production, management of Finished Goods stock and working proactively with procurement, production, and warehouse teams.
Improve the efficiency of market supply chain operations through data collection and analysis.
Assist in managing the supply/demand balance in collaboration with the demand planner and production planner. Review planning reports, analyze information, and take appropriate action to update plans and cover demand
Working with sales teams, factory teams and greater supply chain management teams to supply accuracy
Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply and Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans
What are we looking for?
- Degree or Diploma (Preferably BCom Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management/ Business Management or any related fields
- Any CISP qualifications an added advantage
- At least 3-6 years Experience: Previous experiences in supply chain planning (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, safety stock levels, point of supply, freight, logistics, international transport, administration, laws)
- Good logical understanding of complex systems and supply chain as a whole
- Experience in FMCG environment essential

- Collect data on supply chain operations, analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency
- Plan the supply of products from source factories, plan the supply of products from the HUB to outlying DCs
- Assist in forecasting by reviewing the imbalances between demand and supply
- Monitor stock levels following the model in place (MTO and MTF)
- Ensure all deliveries are completed and booked on the system
- Monitor and track inventory health at national level as well as WH level
- Maintains regular contacts with logistics and quality departments
- Follow up on the status of purchase orders
- Review factory constraints to ensure bottlenecks are identified in a timeous manner and information is relevant and in agreement with actual constraints at factory level and are communicated to the business
- Determine optimal stock levels while keeping product wastage to minimum levels
- Identify and implement best practices to improve results from a planning perspective
- Communicate directly with suppliers on open purchase orders, shortages, and resolution of shortage issues
- Identify obsolete & excess Inventory, devises plan to minimize risk to the business
- Develop and continuously update optimal stock holding
- Coordinate and sets optimal Supply schedule with operations team
- Expedites critical orders to Manufacturing and/or suppliers in response to unplanned demand changes, ensuring quick reaction to unanticipated demand needs
- Communicate changes in exceptions to plan to appropriate department members to ensure appropriate parties are informed and corrective actions taken
- Drive improvement of supply assumptions, exception management and root cause analysis to identify deviations and issues for the long-term planning and MRP process
- Monitor the supply plan performance by measuring plan vs actual at multiple planning levels and devise corrective action when plans are not met
- Ensures products are available to meet or exceed service, quality, and cost objectives
- Resolves inventory, service and cost issues working with the factory
- Manage product discontinuation to minimize financial impact to business
- Measure supply chain performance and report to management
- Performing inventory analysis and preparing inventory reports
