3rd Line Support Engineer

@Uptime provide white label IT Support, Helpdesk and NOC services to MSPs enabling them to extend the services they can offer their customers. This role involves working with a leading US based MSP who will support the successful candidate in increasing their technical knowledge.

This role will initially be 3pm - 12am (SAST) Monday to Friday - once embedded in the role there may be the possibility of these hours changing to something more sociable.

This role requires an existing 3rd Line Engineer, ideally from an MSP background.

Preferred Skills:

  • Servers - installation & troubleshooting - On-Prem & Azure
  • VMWare or Hyper-V hypervisors
  • Switches and Firewalls - installation & troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of VLANs and more advanced networking ideal.
  • Microsoft Office 365 - implementation & management
  • SharePoint and Teams management/troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Azure - implementation & management
  • Server installation and management.
  • Virtual networking setup and troubleshooting.
  • Intune/Endpoint Management
  • Security Understanding of vulnerabilities and remediation as well as basic best practices.
  • Office 365
  • MFA
  • Firewall security settings.
Duties:

  • Install technology solutions for our clients.
  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and support our users networks, equipment, software, and other related services.
  • Identify user problems while working within a structured problem management and resolution process to remediate them.
  • Utilize best in class PSA, RMM, and other service-specific tools and technologies to deliver onsite and remote user support services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers that further enhance the company's positive reputation through exceptional customer service.
