Sustainability Sr Manager - Water CoE Amesa Sector HQ

Overview
  • Lead the development of water usage reduction programs for OPCO and FOBO to deliver the pep+ Goals while building AOP / PSP performance improvement with glidepaths.
  • Subject matter expert for water, replenishment, AWS standards and Recon programs.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Global Procurement and Sustainability leads from other Pepsico Sectors as well as external subject matter experts to develop and implement water saving programs and ensure full deployment within AMESA.
  • Leads the development and implementation of capability programs across AMESA to develop field expertise, inclusive of Recon, best practice sharing.
  • Extend technical support on a need basis for projects covering water recycling & treatment projects and efficiency improvement related projects.
Responsibilities

Performance Improvement, AOP delivery:
  • Lead the development of glidepaths for the water pillar based on pep+ Goals
  • Develop and align with BU AOP targets, key initiatives and capex programs to support the improvement plans
  • Develop a best in class KPI for each location based on the global tools, identify the gap and work with field teams to develop improvement action plans to close the gap
  • Provide technical support for the execution of the BU improvement initiatives
  • Liase with BU leads to ensure appropriation of CAPEX funds for pep+ goals
  • Coordinate Recon water interventions with company owned operations
  • Develop improvement plans, capability programs & track benefits for sustainability related technologies.
  • Work closely with PPGA to develop the network for replenishment, in compliance with regulations and market readiness
  • Lead and drive productivity initiatives in support of AMESA productivity targets
  • Develop and Lead capability development programs for field teams
Water policy and strategy development
  • Collaborate with Global, Operations, Global Procurement and Sustainability leads to develop the Water strategy to deliver pep+ goals, focusing on water efficiency, replenishment and AWS in addition to recon initiatives with best practice replication.
  • Lead the development of pep+ glidepath, capex and improvement tactics and ensure alignment within BU PSP plans.
Auditing
  • Partner with the BU & Sustainability leads to verify on site
    • Water usage KPIs (L/Kg and L/L)
  • Develop a scorecard and communicate report findings at the at Sector and BU level
Performance Management and Reporting
  • Establish key performance indicators and performance objectives and targets in relation to water usage while establishing management dashboards
  • Develop and implement key processes for the capture of required data points in support of PWP commitments.
  • Work collaboratively with BU and other Sustainability leads to troubleshoot and address water related issues
Other
  • Participate in AMESA steering committee for water with GP, PPGA, Compliance to stay ahead of regulatory headwinds
  • Participate in the Pepsico water Working group as AMESA representative to align on strategies, policies and best practice deployments
  • Promote a positive Environmental Sustainability culture in AMESA through general awareness communications and related initiatives.
  • Support development of presentations for senior management and other key stakeholders to effectively influence decision making and gain support and 'buy-in' for Environmental initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Operation experience (Production or Engineering) is highly desirable
  • >10 years of strong Sustainability, Engineering or P&P Experience
  • Related Bachelors Degree (Environmental Engineer, Industrial or manufacturing engineering is preferred).
  • Experience in roll out tools and programs for large scale (multi-site) companies.
  • Must have analytical skills, drive for results, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity and comfort with working across varied, diverse, international cultures, high on collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High integrity, with personal commitment to Environmental performance and water stewardship
  • Willingness to travel internationally (estimated at >30%)
