Reporting to the: Head of Marketing
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist in aligning organizational plans with the 17 SDG's.
- Aid the organization in adhering to the 10 principles outlined in UNGC.
- Coordinate NOW Committee meetings, take minutes, and produce monthly CSR reports.
- Actively participate and support the goals of Net Zero efforts through departmental champions within the NOW Committee.
- Develop and execute the yearly CSR action plan, coordinating activations and supporting departmental CSR initiatives.
- Collaborate on upcycling initiatives within the Conference and Exhibitions Department. Proactively engage with clients to determine their interest in upcycling and ascertain the specific support required for sustainable event practices.
- Facilitate and contribute to the streamlining and preparation of venue sponsorships.
- Play a pivotal role in selecting new LCPs, cultivating and sustaining relationships with them, conducting needs analyses, and coordinating activities aligned with the commitment to making a positive impact in the local community, ensuring a harmonious partnership for mutual benefit.
- Oversee comprehensive data collection for the Integrated Annual Report and other reporting, including monthly and quarterly reports.
- Assist in developing collateral to meet client sustainability needs, actively contribute to sustainability content, and collaborate with Corporate Communications to enhance awareness of CTICC's sustainability initiatives.
- Identify industry awards, prepare submissions, and actively engage in environmental and sustainability awards, showcasing commitment to excellence in sustainable practices and responsible event management.
- National Diploma in Sustainable Development (NQF Level 6).
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent command of the English language and demonstrate a high level of communication, written and listening skills at all levels.
- The ability to demonstrate knowledge a broad knowledge of sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills including research, writing, editing, copywriting or copyediting and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word; Outlook; Excel & PowerPoint).
- Good project management skills.
- Sound understanding of the sustainability principles.
- Strong understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to improve sustainability initiatives through marketing.
- Strong attention to detail skills.
- Ability to effectively compile information and respond to questions.
- Ability to assist with reports, business correspondence and procedures.
- Microsoft Office Literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Communication skills must be exceptional, both written and verbal
- Driven, motivated and enthusiastic about work.
- Hardworking.
