VBKOM (Pty) Ltd is a consulting firm within the mining industry where it provides various services to blue chip and junior mining clients to develop mining resources. These services include but are not limited to geological modelling and interpretation, mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, industrial engineering, project & risk management as well as project and operational support.
- Support the internal VBKOM cloud-based project/time tracking system (QuickBase) and PowerBI business reporting - 30-50% of time.
- Be upskilled and utilized in all other Industrial Engineering consulting services to clients depending on project requirements - 50-70% of time.

Minimum Qualifications:
- B. Eng. (Industrial) Degree preferred, but B. Eng. (Computer) or BSC (Information and Knowledge Systems, Computer Science) Degree will also be considered.
- 2 Years. Experience in mining will be an advantage.
- To integrate in a larger Industrial Engineering team, with diverse expertise and experience in various commodities and service offerings.
- We expect all our industrial engineers to be multi-skilled and the successful candidate will need to upskill himself/herself in the industrial engineering focus areas listed above as well as project and risk management and obtain a detail understanding of mining engineering principals.
- The appointed candidate will report to a principal consultant as line manager who will act as mentor and manage the position's growth and performance requirements.

- Understanding of system database entity relationship diagrams, workflow setup and business reporting data integration, preparation and report setup.
- Ability to analyse data, formulate problems and derive relevant solutions within the VBKOM service offering.
- Exceptional verbal and written language skills with a strong and ongoing customer focused approach.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Projects and Power BI software is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.

- Ability to ensure that quality of work is of the highest standard and without errors.
- As a consultant you will be required to effectively manage internal administration such as backup of data in ordered manner and keeping timesheets.
