Responsibilities And Duties
- Interpret business requirement specifications and translate it into a detailed system design specification / technical specification
- Develop System / Functional Documentation, operations manuals, systems processes, and technical designs, being accountable for their completion
- Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance
- Carry out acceptance testing of new or updated software applications by developing test data and calculating expected results
- Responsible for the execution of programs and procedures, as well as the review and evaluation of output and systems
- Responsible for technical system support throughout the TWK Group
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant technical or business qualification degree / diploma
- A minimum of 5 years experience in RPG / Systems development
- SQL/400 knowledge essential
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Agricultural industry (Advantageous)
- Analyse, resolve difficult/complex system issues, by working with the end-users and other IT support staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for details
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
- Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
