Supply Chain Analytics Manager

This position reports to the Group Head of Planning & Digital Transformation
This position has direct reports

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Supporting the Supply Chain (SC) with:
  • Budget Process: Synthesising inputs from across the business into structured models to direct the entire SC business strategy and budget outputs
  • Providing inputs for the further development of Supply Chain network & logistics models in the budget process
  • Establishing and managing storage & logistics capacity models
  • Develop business cases, simulation and scenario models in various tools
  • Manage data and app migration to business best practices - Google Big Query
  • Ensure current models providing inputs to operations (stock tracker, drop-ship routing, order threshold flagging, capacity model) are maintained and improved where possible
  • Use statistical and other quantitative modelling techniques to analyse large data sets, identify business opportunities and quantify risks. Support advanced analytics including prescriptive and predictive analyses.
  • Manage the monthly analysis of Merchant and Superbalist forecasts in line with DC capacities, and be able to recommend solutions to manage peak months and critical situations.
  • Continuous enhancement and review of analytic models and apps to improve business visibility of stock vs infrastructure capacity.
  • On-going alignment with Business Units, DC & Planning teams on stock cover and related space issues and informing of buying and storage decisions
  • Providing high quality analysis to the Supply Chain Development team on various issues
  • Develop and run reports to support measurement of key performance indicators. Prepare exception-based reporting and drive implementation of business and SC improvement ideas.

  • Understanding of and keen interest in Supply Chain, SC Networks and modelling

  • High proficiency with analysis, BI and modelling tools

  • Knime / Power BI knowledge beneficial
  • Experience with Google Big Query is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Comfortable with change and excellent team player
  • Stakeholder engagement & management
  • Management skills to lead and grow a high performing team
  • Ability to motivate, manage, discipline and develop team members
Qualifications:
  • Industrial Engineering Degree, B.Comm Quantitative Management or Similar
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Competence in SQL or other database software
  • Programming in Python or R
  • Competence in managing and working with Big Data and Models
  • Competence in data visualization tools like Power BI
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Analytics or similar
