This position reports to the Financial Accountant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance
- Processing of journals
- Performing General Ledger account reconciliations for revenue related accounts
- Investigation of Settlement Receivable reconciliation variances
- Assistance with monthly management accounts
- Scoping, development and implementation of system automation projects
- Identifying control deficiencies and implementing new controls and processes
- Continuous iteration of accounting system processes
- Approval of monthly and weekly payment batches
- Assistance with departmental budgets and budget review packs
- Assistance during the Interim and Annual Audit process
- May be required to perform additional ad hoc duties, as required within the department
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- BCom Accounting Degree or similar qualification
- Completed SAICA articles advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role advantageous
- Computer proficiency pertaining to MS Office is a prerequisite
- Advanced Excel skills
- Sage Evolution experience would be beneficial
- Google suite (Google Sheets, Docs and Looker) experience beneficial
