This role will focus on identifying growth opportunities for employees, designing impactful personal development plans, and guiding individuals in their career journeys. The ideal candidate is a proactive, empathetic, and results-oriented professional who can align employee development with our business goals.
Day in the life of the Talent Manager
Career Coaching And Mentorship
- Provide personalised career coaching sessions to employees, helping them set and achieve career goals aligned with company objectives.
- Foster a coaching culture within the organisation by training managers and leaders in coaching best practices.
- Assist in creating Personal Development Plans (PDPs) to facilitate career progression and skill enhancement.
- Contribute to performance management processes, ensuring alignment with employee growth and development goals.
- Work closely with the talent acquisition team to ensure that career development potential is considered in hiring and onboarding processes.
- Support the development of succession planning initiatives to ensure long-term success and retention of top talent.
- Design initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction, focusing on learning and development as a retention tool.
- Conduct regular check-ins with employees to gather feedback on career development needs and aspirations.
- Monitor employee turnover rates and develop strategies to improve retention, particularly by addressing career development needs.
- Track and analyse data on training effectiveness, employee progression, and retention to make data-driven recommendations.
- Prepare regular reports on training metrics, career progression outcomes, and retention rates for leadership.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in HR with a focus on people development and career coaching.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing personal development plans
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and motivate employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyse data, create reports, and use HR metrics to drive decision-making.
- Certification in career coaching or a related field
- Strategic thinking and a results-oriented approach.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of driving and implementing employee personal development plans
- Familiarity with career development frameworks and tools.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
