As part of the regional Supply Chain organisation, the Demand Planning team contributes to Givaudans success by analysing customer demand and coordinating its fulfilment.
Demand Planning produces the best possible forecast by analysing historical data, customer demands, information from sales, industry trends, etc. The demand signal validated by the team guides the decisions on manufacturing capabilities and timely raw material availability.
We are looking for a Head of Demand Planning to be an excellent business partner for our growing Taste & Wellbeing Operations sites across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA). In close collaboration with the Commercial organisation, you will ensure improvement in customer experience and oversee the development and performance of the market demand forecasts, S&OP processes and order fulfilment activities.
You will lead the SAMEA Demand Planning team and report to the Taste & Wellbeing Head of Supply Chain for SAMEA. The role is flexible and open to be based in any of our operations/manufacturing sites in Johannesburg (South Africa), 6th Oc-tober City (Egypt), or Pune (India), and offers excellent personal and professional development opportunities.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for -
Strategy definition and deployment:
- Guide the strategic Demand Planning programs with regional and global strategy teams.
- Partner with the sites and other regional and commercial functions to ensure Givaudan's future performance and success in the SAMEA region.
- With your leadership experience, create an outstanding and enthusiastic environment for employees.
- Promote change and encourage differences and situational leadership.
- Manage and enrich the talent pool, including performance management, individual development, succession planning, career mapping, and gap analysis.
- You bring the voice of the customer to supply chain improvement and change projects.
- Improve programs, contribute to customer experience and coordinate the management of new, promoted and discontinued items with the sales and site teams.
- Ensure that the Demand performance meets the targets.
- Ensure sound S&OP processes are run and propose and implement continuous improvement programs related to Demand Planning, Demand and Supply Balancing (S&OP), end-to-end process KPIs, risk-based, with simplicity as a prerequisite.
- Guide and empower your teams in prioritising and solving escalated customer orders.
- Provide direction in Demand Planning activities in the regional markets.

Your professional profile includes:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a relevant discipline. Additional certifications in CSCP/CPIM or similar supply chain qualifications are preferred.
- LEAN Green Belt/ Black Belt certification is an added advantage.
- 8+ years of leadership in supply chain planning or demand planning management, with exposure to commercial and customer needs in a complex MTO business with a high number of SKUs.
- Good experience managing diverse and multicultural teams.
- Have experience with strategy and analytics.
- Comfortable in working and collaborating with diverse teams and cultures.
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of additional languages will be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Able to travel within the SAMEA region as required.
