Our client is seeking a talented Tax Accountant to join their growing team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting requirements for entities within our group. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of UK tax laws and regulations, as well as experience working in a professional accounting environment.
Main Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of corporation tax, specifically for the UK, Germany and Ireland, including:
- Preparing financial information to enable the calculation of corporation tax liabilities, deferred taxes and monitoring of the effective tax rate
- Preparation of company tax returns and supporting schedules accurately and timely
- Calculating and arranging advance payments on account in respect of corporation tax (provisional tax)
- Consulting with management on tax related issues
- Keeping up to date with new IFRS being published and determining the effect on the Group
- Investigation of the impact and implementation of new accounting standards
- Responsible for review of tax account reconciliations
- Performing deferred tax calculations
- Preparing deferred tax disclosure for annual financial statements and related accounting policies.
- Keeping up to date with tax and accounting changes affecting tax and deferred tax.
- Assist with preparing and processing tax transactions necessary to facilitate month-end and year-end.
- Take responsibility for the indirect tax compliance of a subsidiary in the group
- Peer review of indirect tax workings prepared by team members
Managing from start to finish any ad hoc tax projects' that arise from time to time, including engaging with the revenue authority (if applicable) and internal role players:
Organize and manage quarterly Office Tax Forums which would include preparation and distribution of formal documentation (Secretary for the Office Tax forum).
Managing all other administrative aspects of the Group's compliance with tax legislation in respect of the jurisdictions in which OFFICE is operational.
General assistance in maintaining Transfer Pricing documentation.

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent), with sound technical knowledge of tax and accounting
- Strong organisation, numeric and communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in Oracle Financials preferable.
