This twelve (12) month contact position in the Momentum Investments Operational Tax team will be responsible for tax query resolution, tax compliance and reporting, as well as assisting in relevant tax projects.
The position is based in our head office in Centurion where you will form part of a dynamic, high-performing business team, with the ambition to strategically improve our business.

Requirements
- BCom degree Finance, Management accounting, Audit or Taxation.
- SQL writing advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years experience, ideally in a Corporate (Financial, Investments or Tax) environment.
- Good understanding of the ITA, TAA and supporting guides is advantageous.
- Investigate and process manual break out procedures and events.
- Take ownership of the recon controls, checks and balances.
- Root cause error investigation and correction of any discrepancies in the system.
- Process mapping and documentation.
- Identify tax risks that could impact the company directly or indirectly and escalate accordingly.
- Provide system/process support.
- Investigate and identify requirements to address process or system constraints resulting in repeated queries and/or errors.
- Process documentation and training documentation for internal staff
- Work actively with the Tax Specialist to clarify technical rules and regulations published for a smooth implementation.
- Gain an understanding of the business in which we operate and the tax implications per product range.
- User Acceptance Testing of solutions, business and technical processes and calculations.
- Keeping up to date with changes to legislation relating to the Income Tax Act and advising business on the practical impact of the changes.
