Provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to resolve and address complex business matters.
- Assisting with the completion of tax advice (internal & external).
- Completing tax specialist reviews and tax computations.
- Ensuring that work is completed within reasonable timeframes.
- Ensuring that client work is taken on in accordance with risk guidelines.
- Ensuring that work performed for clients is completed within pre-communicated budgets.
- Transaction support (preparing legal agreements)
- Providing legal opinions on procedure in terms of the Companies Act/Companies Regulations/Close Corporations Act
- Providing legal opinion on application of the Companies Act/Companies Regulations/Close Corporations Act/National Credit Act/Income Tax Act Etc.
- Application of MOI/SHA
- Reviewing legal agreements
- Providing comment on proposed amendments and preparing lease agreements/loan agreements/AODs etc.
- General Legal Drafting
- Administration of Wills, Trusts and Estates
- 1-2 years post qualification experience, preferably in tax.
- HDip in Taxation and corresponding experience in the tax consulting environment will be advantageouS
- Assist the management in taking responsibility to ensure continued tax technical development in your area of tax specialty and staying up to date and ahead of the curve in matters of tax technical skills.
- Providing all departments with necessary technical advice and guidance.
- Legal drafting
- Completion and submission of legal and tax opinions, objections, appeals and attending to tax court matters.
- Ensuring high calibre business writing skills and understanding of the legislation.
