- The purpose of this role is to prepare and submit required tax returns of the organisation. Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
- Additionally, ensures that the organisation complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting and other tax authority requirements. Represents organisation at the local tax regulatory authority and organizes and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects

- Bachelor`s degree in Law / Accounting / Finance or a qualified CA(SA
- Master`s degree in taxation / HDipTax or equivalent will be an added advantage.

- 3 to 5 years tax experience in the Big 4 environment
- Experience in mining tax an advantage
- Direct and indirect tax compliance, including Transfer Pricing, Mining Royalties and Carbon Tax.
- Group Tax reporting
- Liaising with tax authorities
- Direct and indirect tax audits
- Drafting of Tax Opinions
- Corporate restructurings, mergers, and acquisitions
- Creating awareness and training about tax developments
- Tax policy and tax risk management
