To manage a portfolio of salvage matters (motor and non-motor including stolen vehicles) with salvage service providers and assisting the claims department in finalising all salvage matters.
Requirements
- Matric
- Experience in short-term insurance environment
- 60 FAIS Credits in short term insurance
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Insurance qualification preferable
- RE qualification
- Intensive knowledge of claims and salvage environment
- Knowledge in administering and handling salvage and Motor claims
- At least 2 years experience in claims and salvage environment
- Day to day reporting to the Procurement Manager
- Report monthly and weekly statistics to management
- Prepare monthly underwriting meeting report
- Attending to weekly exception reports and clear exceptions
- Achieving and setting a plan of action to achieve set targets
- Handling salvage claims in accordance with salvage handling procedures and the SAIA code of conduct
- Facilitating and managing salvage with external service providers and salvage companies
- Maintain SLAs for the team within stipulated time frames as per process flows
- Negotiating with service providers to reduce fees
- Providing technical advice on salvage matters to the claims department and brokers
- Providing claims department, clients and brokers with the highest standard of service
- Providing claims department, clients and brokers with feedback on claims progress always
- Attend to enquiries from brokers and clients regarding salvage related matters and provide comprehensive feedback
- Ensuring diary system is always implemented and adhered to
- Ensuring adherence to SLAs / mandates in place with regards to claims from mandated brokers
- Rendering of assistance from time to time with ad hoc tasks
- Updating and manage the salvage register as per SAIA Code of Conduct
- Handling of NATIS documents as per the guidelines set out in the SAIA code of conduct
- Record keeping of all salvage matters
- Capturing of stolen vehicles on the UNICODE system
- Arranging for the collection and delivery of vehicles to salvage yards
- Appointing external service providers to assist with salvage and recovery of stolen vehicles
- Manage the average stock in bond days
- Manage the average towing and release fees cost
- Manage credit control no payments outstanding over 60 days
- Manage the recovery of stolen vehicles.
