An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Supply Chain Division for a Loan Set Team Leader in Gauteng. The incumbent is responsible for the management of staff punctuality & attendance as well as monitoring and management of staff productivity and performance. The Loan Set team Leader will also be responsible for noting, filing, monitoring and reporting of team KPIs as well as planning, coordinating, and following up the activities of a Loan Set Controller of picking and preparing loan sets/products required to be dispatched to customers.
The team leader is responsible for planning the daily distribution of products and collection and replenishment of it. This function requires close monitoring and measuring of the percentage of completion of each case with the aim of reaching 100% compliance of On Time and In Full (OTIF) for all deliveries.

Essential Job Functions
Key Functions:
- Leading the team to ensure efficient and effective picking, preparing, and dispatching of S&N stock as per order / case instructions. Team Leaders are to assist with this function when required to ensure optimal results.
- Ensuring that all instruments are accurately checked out of the warehouse by using a printed checklist. This should be signed for acknowledgement of checking.
- Regular checks on the LSC to measure productivity and contribution to daily plan, individually and collectively. This includes double checking compliance on notes on Webops before shipping and before check in process.
- Following up on cases / request to ensure timeous delivery to destination. The preferable time of arrival to the destination should not be less than 2 hours of the surgery start time.
- Monitoring the dashboard for any additional anomaly cases to allocate to team and ensure on time distribution and delivery.
- Ensure communication to the relevant salesperson of the case is efficient and avoid last minute communication.
- Responding to telephone queries and request in a professional manner with the focus of delivering on expectation of the business and striving for service excellence.
- Follow up and ordering of stock from other depots where applicable to the relevant case. Follow up in writing and verbal communication. This requires regular communication with the Inventory teams and escalations where there are any delays.
- Managing the auditing / checking all stock, including instruments returned to the warehouse after delivery to the client.
- Management of Kit replenishment process with audits of Webops shelf stock and ensure that Kits are full.
- Assist with statements and feedback of investigation of incidents raised with the aim of operational response within 24 hours from notification of the incident. This should be reported to the Supervisor, where applicable, as well as the OSC manager.
- Where there are multiple shifts, the team leaders are to ensure a proper documented handover between shifts signed off by incoming and outgoing team representatives and supervisors, where applicable.
- Attends meetings and represents the operations teams in the relevant region where required.
- Responsible for the total team daily output and addresses inefficiencies with team members through a verbal and documented process.
Education:
- Matric with a Diploma in Operations/Supply Chain
- 3 years, warehousing, operations, distribution/logistics.
- Preferably background in the medical devices / Pharmaceuticals
