What You Will Accomplish Here
As a Technical Compliance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a team environment to provide technical compliance support while consulting with customers to solve their problems and provide them with sustainable value. We are seeking an outgoing and meticulous professional like you to represent our brand and our business while utilizing your expertise to develop business by building and maintaining relationships with regulators and suppliers withing the gambling industry.
This Position Will Focus On The Following
- Provides customer service and support to regulators, operators, and suppliers within the gambling industry.
- Develops and maintains a sound understanding of each assigned customers needs and market position.
- Responsible for sales activities from lead generation through contract signing, and post-service follow-ups.
- Conducts evaluations of submission files, identifying any areas of regulatory concern and providing related determinations. This includes but is not limited to:
- Handling incoming reviews and critical modifications
- Performing outgoing reviews and technical evaluations
- Performing bug or issue evaluations
- Developing certification report disclosures
- Evaluates documentation related to submissions/testing.
- Demonstrates a high level of understanding of gaming products.
- Maintains working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internal controls for assigned jurisdictions.
- Maintains familiarity with GLI Standard Series and internal testing systems.
- Performs reviews from a regulatory compliance stance on new verification utilities and procedures.
- Works with other departments in various offices on regulatory technical questions and issues.
- Provides technical training and/or workshops to internal and external customers.
- Tracks current projects in JIRA.
- Participates, as assigned, in tradeshows and conferences. This may include speaking engagements.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a similar field is required.
- Formal training, experience, or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered acceptable in lieu of the educational requirements.
- A minimum of 3 years of gaming experience, land-based (provincial), digital (online and mobile) and/or sports betting requirements is required.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations and field questions from large audiences.
- Must have the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
- Must have a valid driver's license and passport.
Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Travel: up to 30%, including occasionally with short notice.
