The Technical (Sales) Manager take responsibility for our beverage and food sales customers in the Southern Africa region, including the support of Key Account Customers, Retail Brand Customers, regular Food and Dairy Customers and cross selling of the full ADM pantry.
For a successful onboarding you will come to our location in Heidelberg/Germany for 3 months. Here you will receive extensive on-the-job training and will be optimally prepared for your future area of responsibility.
Your Responsibilities
- You actively support our expansion strategy in the African region
- You give advice on application & production technology to our customers
- You support during trial and first fillings for our customers on-site
- You will act as consultant for our customers in relation to all technical questions
- You establish and develop long-term customer relationships monitoring the market and identify market potential
- You consult for project coordination and process design and work closely with our local sales teams
- You have a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field
- You have gained professional experience in technical sales or as application technology consultant in the food and beverage industry
- You have a deep technical understanding and basic knowledge of business administration
- You have excellent English language skills, other languages are an advantage
- You are a team player and have strong communication and presentation skills
- You have a strong customer and service orientation and technical understanding
- You work in a structured and independent manner and do not lose the overview even under pressure
- You are willing to travel regularly to African countries
