Position available in Northgate, Johannesburg for technical production manager.
Job requirements:
- Lead a technical production team in setting up and striking of technical equipment at events, ensuring it is done safely and without damage.
- Have knowledge on all elements related to a technical production set-up including: rigging, staging, lighting, sound and AV.
Job responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the technical production set-up at events.
- Ability to operate all technical production equipment.
- Any other activities that are deemed necessary in the setting up, running and organising of event technical production ie: wiring, cabling, stage sets and equipment strike.
- Client Service
- Overseeing crew members, ensuring that technical set-up’s are executed in a professional manger.
- Liaising with warehouse manager regarding maintenance and service of all technical equipment in the warehouse, ensuring it is stored and kept in good working order.
- Supervising the work of junior technicians.
- Assessing projects and resource requirements
- Coordinate technical logistics for events in conjunction with OPS Administrator
- Attend site visits with clients
- Estimate, negotiate and agree on budgets and timelines with clients
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met at events
- Determine work quality and control
- Planning and organizing production schedules
- Drawing of floor plans will be an advantage
- ·Prepare technical quotes for events teams
- Do all relevant paperwork on pastel ie: invoicing, Purchase orders etc
- Oversee the maintenance of company vehicles
