- Technical Sales development: handle technical complaints and claims on a wide range of automotive parts to suit both passenger car, light, and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Although technical knowledge will be imperative, emphasis will lie with the Sales & Marketing functions.
- Have the necessary formal & certified automotive technical qualifications (preferably both petrol and diesel technician), and at least 3 years field experience (not negotiable).
- Have the necessary technical experience and knowledge to analyse, process and follow through on technical claims from time-to-time, and to write suitably professional reports for same.
- Be able to identify and effectively & efficiently evaluate new sales opportunities by developing sales both locally and in neighbouring territories.
- Have the ability to discern which vehicle brands and product groups are of interest to different customers.
- Collate market intelligence and be able to process this to achieve additional sales development.
- Have extensive technical parts knowledge, preferably of both passenger and truck.
- Have a thorough understanding of the IAM and who the various players & brands are.
- Marketing support: be able to handle marketing and monitoring on the modern social media platforms, identify and support the team with all marketing-related matters.
- Liaise closely with international marketing colleagues and engage and negotiate with local marketing suppliers and service providers.
- Be a peoples person and be able to work cooperatively & collaboratively within a tightly cohesive team. Have the necessary personnel skills to be able to engage with all types of personality and people groups.
- Provide general support functions as required by the team and develop relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

- Have excellent telephone etiquette, be confident, courteous, and polite.
- Have own transport and a valid SA drivers licence.
- Be proficiently fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
- Should be a non-smoker.
