Technical Sales Representative

We are currently in the process of recruiting a Technical Sales Representative for the Integra Division based in Benoni in South Africa.  The role will report directly to the Sales Manager of South Africa.  The job holder will bring fresh enthusiasm, motivation to help strengthen the team.  If you have the experience and qualities below and are looking for your next role within WASA, then this role may be just what you are looking for.

Purpose of the Job:

  • To technically introduce and market WASA’s full range of products and provide long lasting wear solutions with our full range of products.
  • Manage customer relationships and maximise sales value with a specific focus in the area that will be dedicated to you.

Description of Accountabilities:

  • Drive the sales of products
  • Build customer relationships
  • Technically promote and demonstrate products
  • Negotiate and close contracts with customers – ensure that we will receive RFQ’s
  • Support in optimizing process and maximizing margins
  • Communicate to and via Internal sales
  • Take responsibility of allocated market segments and areas
  • Supply sales forecasting per area and market segments
  • Gain new business through distributors or directly
  • Obtain Vendor Numbers and ensure that our products and services are linked to the vendor number
  • Fully capable of doing own quotations, based on pricing structure
  • Perform all other related duties as and when required
  • Marketing of our products
  • Plan visits on a weekly basis and report back
  • Hand out and motivate products using WAS Brochures and technical knowledge
  • Motivate end-users to ensure that WASA’s products are specified in customer’s designs and drawings
  • Establish and maintain a detailed end-user customer data base
  • Do research into potential new areas where potential customers can be obtained
  • Market products through the appointed distributors
  • Arrange and perform wear audits
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Perform customer surveys twice per year
  • Actively support the QA System

Qualifications, Competencies & Attributes Required for the Position:

  • Matric with maths and science will be an advantage
  • Fully bilingual in English and home language
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Advance admin skills
  • Fully Computer literate in MS Office especially in Excel
  • Analytical and Innovative thinker
  • Pro-Active
  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Accuracy and Attention to detail
