Responsible as a senior supervisor for their technical supervisors performance and optimisation of service delivery and service outputs. Implement processes by reviewing systems, effectively looking at trend analyses, forecast reports and procurement controls measures on site.
Effective reporting to Technical Facilities Managers on service and the quality of site deliverables. Sets up and supervisor on-site team structures, and is responsible for identification and allocation of all resources, i.e., staff, plant and subcontractors, in line with project requirements and to optimise performance.

Repairs, New Installations & Preventative Maintenance
- Oversee and coordinate the maintenance, repairs and optimisation of technical delivery and equipment to insure their uninterrupted functionality.
- Keep up to date with the latest advances in technology and regulations in the technical field and incorporate them into the facilities operations as appropriate.
- Propose and implement process improvements, operational efficiencies and solutions to enhance service delivery and optimize resource utilisation
- Perform regular inspections and audits of equipment, systems and facilities to proactively identify and potential problems and providing solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, breakdowns, and malfunctions in timely manner to minimise downtime and disruptions. Analyse problems, conduct root cause analysis and implement the most effective course of action for repairs to ensure they are functioning at maximum capacity
- Plan and execute installations, maintenance and repairs to technical systems and equipment, ensuring the work is completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Respond to emergency taking ensuring necessary action is taken to minimize disruption to facility operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource allocation while maintaining service quality and compliance
- Evaluate the technical needs of the facility and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Develop, implement and conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.
- Support within the facility.to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with and provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure all technical work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations and safety standards.
- Manage Tools and equipment schedules.
- Supervise asset registers and PPM service delivery. Managing contractors and technical teams performances and adherence. Escalating to Technical Facilities Manager as necessary.
- Supervise teams and contractors undertaking technical and other facilities related technical services in line with scope of works
- Supervise and mentor junior staff on maintenance and repair techniques ensuring the work is completed at a high standard
- Ensure sub-contractor visit controls and responsibilities are undertaken in accordance with specific agreements, works and frequencies, quality, safety and compliance
- Ensure that all staff working on the job have appropriate PPE
- Ensure that all tools used are well maintained, and the correct tools are used for the relevant trade
- Ensure good house-keeping is maintained in areas of responsibility
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, preventative maintenance schedules, time spent, and materials used
- Give feedback to helpdesk at each critical phase of the repair job
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations pertaining to technical systems and facilities
- Liaise with all contractors and stakeholders for technical services, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards and timely completion of work
- Undertake risk assessments as required to identify risks to health and safety, and compliance to statutory requirements and QMS
- Implement safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all stakeholders
- Create an environment of risk awareness and promote risk reduction for the Company and the Client (internal process, reputational, communication, financial):
- Compliance to statutory requirements on services

- Staff understand the need to identify potential problems before they occur so that risk-handling activities may be planned and invoked
- Ensure communications channels are adhered to ensure best client relationship
- Grade 12
- Relevant Technical Diploma N6 or Degree including 3 Phase Wireman license
- Trade Certificate - Electrical (Red Seal)
- Minimum of 5-8 years related technical experience in the Facilities Management environment
- 3- 5 years electrical installation experience will be an advantage
- Good understanding of technical infrastructure such as HVAC, UPS, Generators, Access Control, Fire Systems and Static switches etc.
- Previous relevant experience supervising and guiding junior technicians
- In-depth technical knowledge of technical systems and equipment and relevant associated codes and regulations
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid drivers license (Code 8) and must have own transport
- Knowledge and good understanding of applicable Health & Safety regulations and procedures
- Willing and flexible to work extended hours and/or outside of normal working hours where required.
- Able to work to a flexible schedule including after hours if required.
- Available to be on standby for emergencies.
- Intermediate IT Microsoft skills.
- Knowledge of data room assets and critical equipment.
