We are currently seeking a Thermal Management Technical Support and Training Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg, Africa!
What kind of work will you be doing?
Technical Support:
- Provide 1st Level (L1) support to the Vertiv ISP's.
- Provide support to CE's (Customer Engineers) during OJE (On the Job Experience) completion.
- Provide internal support to Sales on Products together with Application Engineering.
- Support After sales with Product and Parts identification on systems.
- Provide technical evaluation of warranty claims.
- Provide training to the ISP's as per the ISP agreement and Academy requirements.
- Provide refresher training to ISP's.
- Provide 1st Responder training to end Customers and SP's (Service Providers)
- Provide updated Training Calendars and Distribute to the ISP's.
- Co-ordinate the training with the Academy.
- Ensure that the CEC is equipped with the correct systems and equipment to provide training.
- Ensure the CEC remains compliant with all Safety requirements.
- General support to the Service, Sales and Application Engineering organizations.
- Support with ad-hoc requirements.
- Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Adhere to all Vertiv policies and procedures.
- N6 Electrical and/or Mechanical certificate or Proof of sufficient experience in the field; Basic knowledge of electronics - essential;
- Good knowledge of Windows and MS Office - essential;
- University or Technical College degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical engineering - desirable;
- 3-5 years' experience in a Precision Thermal Management environment.
- Good interpersonal & Presentation skills for training.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks at once.
- Applies knowledge/ skills to a range of standard and non-standard activities.
- Interprets client needs and work to meet those needs, promotes an environment for creating business opportunities.
- Fluent in and able to articulate him/herself in the English language for training and support purposes.
- Diligent.
- Good knowledge of Windows and MS Office.
- Desirable experience: Experience in electronic and electrical design; Software development experience; Networking (Ethernet) experience.
- English language - excellent verbal and written communications skills.
