Technical Support Specialist (PANstrat)

KEY OUTPUTS
  • Complete management of the PANstrat support function with specific focus on providing support to the lodge and regional teams.
  • Participate in the PANstrat development process and support the rollout of new development projects.
  • Support the Group Finance team with PANstrat queries.
  • Provide the month-end support to the regional finance teams.
  • Ad hoc projects as required
DUTIES
  • Act as a front-line support for all PANstrat specific support calls.
  • Liaise with the PANstrat support team to escalate PANstrat support calls as and when required, and follow support call up until completion.
  • Liaise with the AndBeyond ICT team should the PANstrat call require support from the AndBeyond ICT team, and follow the up until completion.
  • Provide entry level PANstrat training to all new PANstrat users.
  • Support training interventions at existing sites - this may require travel from time to time.
  • Monitor and test PANstrat backups on a regular basis.
  • Monitor and test PANstrat synchronisation on a regular basis, this will include the monitoring of all logistics systems.
  • Perform basic routine database maintenance and act as a liaison between the PANstrat support team and the lodge / regional teams to ensure that regular PANstrat upgrades are performed with no impact on system availability.
  • Identify bottlenecks and strategically aligned operational and systems solutions that drive business forward.
  • Create and maintain all PANstrat templates across all regions.
  • Perform quarterly user audits and review.
  • Perform privileged user audits.
  • Review PANstrat support call logs to identify possible areas for development intervention and assist in scoping and testing these development projects.
  • Ad-hoc project support as and when required.
  • Assist the Management Accountant Team with PANstrat month end checks.
QUALIFICATION
  • This is an entry-level graduate position and any relevant 3-year degree in finance or information technology will be considered.
  • The requirement for a tertiary degree will be waivered should the applicant be able to demonstrate sufficient industry specific experience.
Skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Packages and must be able to demonstrate superior MS Excel skills.
  • Strong system bias essential.
  • SQL knowledge will be advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of accounting cycles and underlying transactions.
  • Any knowledge on stock control and reporting will be advantageous.
  • Experience with MS Access beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with MS Excel Macros and Visual Basic will be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Outcome focused and willing to work with diverse personalities.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Strong communication skills with a lot of patience.
