Job Purpose
To become a fully functional desktop environment Support Engineer within Nedbank Group whilst conforming to LAN policies; procedures and standards whilst operating under supervision
Job Responsibilities

- Deliver all targets by ensuring all assigned work task are completed according to agreed timelines and due dates. Ensure clients purchase the correct assets.
- Ensure work standards and quality.
- Reduce non-value adding work. Ensure business continuity tasks are executed per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist end users with their multimedia requests and incidents.
- Provide mobile device support, including intellisync, all cellphones (mail sync) and communicators.
- Respond appropriately and according to SOPs.
- Comply with relevant policies, guidelines, standards, as well as SOPs in the execution of tasks.
- Comply with risk standards and guidelines, and take corrective action by restoring and reconfiguring user functionality.
- Deliver tasks by adhering to agreed project scope of work. Participate in audit reports.
- Execute housekeeping /maintenance tasks, under supervision.
- Ensure the installation and configuration of new and redeployed information technology equipment is executed per SOPs.
- Ensure Nedbank IT standards are met when connecting devices to network and/or workstation.
- Install additional end user software requirements under guidance of management.
- Adhere to relevant standards when performance tuning.
- Execute the move of relevant information technology equipment including the installation and configuration.
- Contribute to the achievement of team goals.
- Ensure knowledge management, continuity and team success through constructive participation in a diverse team and by sharing knowledge with team.
- Understand and consistently meet client needs. Ensure client requests are completed within agreed timelines.

- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Relevant Microsoft Diploma/Certificate
- 1 - 2 year working experience in a POS environment
