Purpose of Position:

To Manage all Activities in the relevant laboratory on a daily basis to ensure that set targets and objectives are achieved and maintain high quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

Certificate: Business Management, Certificate: Financial Management, Certificate: Management, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required), National Diploma: Biomedical Technology (Required)

Required Experience:

Knowledge: Google and Google Mail, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word, Senior and / or supervisory or managerial experience

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret positive blood cultures in order to ensure that correct results are delivered timeously, Maintain quality systems and perform quality related tasks in order to ensure that quality control standards are upheld, Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved, Monitor and maintain the instruments in order to ensure effective and optimal functioning of instruments, Perform API identifications and sensitivities in order to ensure effective handling and processing of API identifications and sensitivities, Perform material management tasks in order to ensure sufficient stock quantities are available at all times and to ensure effective control over stock
