Purpose Of Position

To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a Clinical Laboratory.

Requirements

HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology) (Required), National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) / BHs MLS (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences) (Required).

Required Experience

1-2 years working experience within a pathology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath.
• Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.
• Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld.
• Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens.
• Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimens.
• Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education.
