Global Engineering & Technology - SME in innovation, technology, facility design (incl.diagnostic, sensor & semi-conductor manufacturing)
Your mission:
As Global Engineering & Technology - SME, you will keep abreast of future trends, new technologies or development that may be relevant or influence the company in terms of investment, sustainability, efficiency. You should help provide the framework conditions so that innovation is encouraged, can take place, that it is coordinated worldwide and can be transferred successfully.
Your tasks in detail:
In your position as Global Engineering SME, many exciting tasks await you:
- A key role of this job is to identify, nurture, manage and develop relevant knowledge and know- how within the engineering community as well as to develop an awareness of and a capability to develop new, innovative and creative technologies. These ideas should be collected, developed and wherever necessary and appropriate, be driven forward
- You will contribute to the successful implementation of Global Expert Panels (GEPs) and communities in all relevant technical disciplines. This role will include linking to the Engineering community capability assessment and development
- You will support the set-up of the relevant Global Expert Panel
- You develop and define appropriate metrics to measure the relevant capability status and its evolution in time
- You will have the responsibility to systematically establish and maintain partnerships and collaboration with Third Parties including Universities and relevant institutions and professional bodies
- As part of the global Innovation & Technology team, you will support the further development of operating model and strategy to optimize its impact and lead relevant initiatives and/or case studies
- You provide up-to-date and relevant expert technical knowledge, consultancy, advice and leadership
- You will contribute to building a framework for carrying out technical due diligence
- You will expand methodologies used in technology assessments to meet holistic Roche goals and help broaden the application of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) for decision making in CapEx projects
- You will support define, develop and execute the Engineering & Technology vision, strategies, goals and priorities based on guidance given by the Diagnostics Engineering Council or the Global Operations Manufacturing Network
- You will provide, as necessary, direct support to projects and other relevant activities and initiatives, (managed by others)
- The scope of the role encompasses all Roche Diagnostic manufacturing sites and operations
If you find yourself in this mission and if you have the following qualifications, you have come to the right place:
- You have successfully completed your studies in an engineering or science related discipline
- You already have at least 10 years of experience in Industry, preferably in the semiconductor, pharma, diagnostics or chemical industry
- In addition, you have at least 5 years experience in project management and ideally more than 3 years of management/mentoring expertise
- You have advanced knowledge and experience in at least one engineering discipline (e. g. mechanical, process, electrical, automation, civil, structural)
- Experience in technology transfer from development into a cGMP manufacturing facility
- You should ideally bring some experience in project management, project controls as well as operations and in development
- You are fluent in English
- You are persuasive and able to work effectively in a matrix organization and with interdisciplinary teams,
- You have a passion for innovation and sustainability
- Your leadership is congruent to Roches principles, i.e.VACC Leadership (visionary, architect, catalyst, coach)
