Contract until the end of December 2017
Minimum requirements:
- National Diploma (Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering) or N6 Mechanical with a trade (Toolmaker)
- Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience within automotive manufacturing in a body shop environment
- Have a high level of PC and CAD literacy
- Have a detailed knowledge of body shop processes equipment, especially clinching / toxing processes and special welding applications for HOP’s / Closures
Duties:
- Planning the introduction of new models and model changes which include line layouts, process and detailed investment studies, facilitating workshops and new technology evaluations
- Introduce production lines, facilities in support of approved new models and model changes including establishment of specifications in-line with the groups standards for supplier quotations, technical evaluation of quotations and finance approval process
- Initiate and coordinate design reviews, project meetings with approved suppliers to ensure adherence to clients’ standard and project timing requirements
- Coordinate the installation of production lines so that it meets production quality requirements, cycle time adherence, manpower assignments, safety requirements and automation approvals
- Compile investment, project timing plans, purchase facilities / tools and arrange try-outs and commissioning in support of ECR’s
- Participate in process improvement workshops and implementation of items relating to planning
- Application of specialized knowledge regarding key processes in the manufacture of HOP’s / closures
