Responsibilities
- Prepare competitive solicited tenders and unsolicited proposals to win new business and retain existing business, relating to on site services Total Waste Management, enabling the execution team to ensure efficient operation, achieving and improving financial objectives.
- Interpretation & Implementation of Client Requirements and Specifications.
- Establish and maintain a positive and informative relationship with the services execution team, clients and suppliers/subcontractors/strategic partners and traders.
- Assist services management to establish and improve systems and procedures for effective service delivery including solution design, operation and maintenance.
- Technical Solution development through collaboration with Business Development Heads, subject matter experts and Sales Engineers, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements
- Represent the company during meetings with potential customers, vendors and subcontractors, strategic partners and traders for Total Waste Management, onsite waste management solutions.
- Preparation of design deliverables for tenders, technical & process descriptions, Process Flow Diagram, Central Waste Area Designs, datasheets, etc.
- Hazardous Waste Profile sheet compilation with waste classification and sampling. Effective communication and Interpretation of analysis results to clients.
- Preparation of Technical Specifications of equipment for Request for Quotations
- Technical evaluation of strategic partner/ traders proposals
- Technical clarifications with client
- Keep up to date with latest technologies and developments inside the companys group, in the Total Waste Management community.
Technical Duties
- Co-ordinate the submission of Tenders, Proposals and Quotations.
- Develop accurate financial/ commercial models to determine competitive and viable pricing structures for projects (Bespoke Total Waste Management On site services and Projects)
- Work closely with the services execution divisions to determine competitive life cycle costs for onsite waste management services.
- Waste Process design development from cradle to cradle both onsite and offsite through the companys best practice and technologies, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
- Assist in the drafting and checking of contracts.
- Assist with the mobilisation to business support.
- Assist with site establishment, commencement and initial monitoring of new on-site service projects.
- Ensure the onsite solution operates effectively against the identified KPAs.
- To direct & develop the implementation of company standards and systems and develop a reliable operations database.
- Ensure the application of contractual standards and regulations.
- Adhere to the following guidelines for the successful execution of contracts and tenders.
- Organise a tender kick-off meeting and develop a bid team.
- Study the tender carefully and objectively and understand clearly the responsibilities and deliverables.
- Identify problem areas, define split in scope of responsibilities and formulate solutions.
- Follow the tender programme conscientiously.
- Coordinate technical resources related to solution and estimation of costs associated with the proposal or tender
- Appropriate technology selection and logistical requirements for handling, transport and waste hierarchy relevant solutions.
- Develop schedules including but not limited to equipment schedules, battery limit schedules, quality control (laboratory) schedules, chemical consumption schedules, consumables consumption and maintenance schedules
- Development of all relevant documentation related to the preparation of a compliant proposal, tender or quotation
- Communicate with the client as needed and maintain an accurate record of this.
Finance and administration
- Update and maintain tender documentation complete and neatly on the dedicated Google drive.
- Ensure that CRM is maintained and kept up to date
- Prepare Google Slide presentations to support On Site Services and Project Services offers/ tenders.
- Produce detailed minutes on all technical or contractual meetings held.
- Writing of reports when required.
Quality Health & Safety
- Ensure health and safety legislation and contractual obligations pertaining to health & safeties are adhered to throughout the contract.
- Read and understand the latest ISO9001 manual for the procedures pertaining to the Operations Division.
External Relations
- Frequently liaise with the client on all technical or contractual aspects of the project.
- Interact with partners or suppliers.
Other
- Attend all training seminars pertaining to this position.
- Perform any other duties required by your designated departmental manager.
Required Competence, Experience & Qualifications
- BSC Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/ Waste Management/ Environmental degree and
- Sales/ Marketing related qualification preferable or suitable qualification
- 3 years experience as a Chemical Engineer
- 8+ years experience specific to tendering TWM in the Industrial Waste Management.
- 3 + years experience in the waste management industry with onsite waste management.
- Knowledge of commercial terms.
- Computer literacy in the google workspace tools and experience with cloud computing, such as DocuSign Etc.
