Key Responsibilties
  • Achieve territory sales targets and objectives. Develop corrective actions where vital.
  • Plan and implement call value (coverage, frequency, efficiency) for the territory based on customer classification and required activities. Maintain accurate records of these calls in the Hills reporting system.
  • Submit timely call reports and maintain accurate records as specified
  • Respond timeously to customer and head office enquiries
  • Be responsible for the assigned budgets and ensure timely submission of accurate purchase orders and T&E expenses to head office.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans for specified stores/ veterinary clinics, which realise both the needs of the customers and our overall business objectives
  • Provide outstanding professional support (detailing, in-clinic/in-store seminars and webinars, technical meetings, trainings, merchandising), reaching all key partners in specified practices/stores to secure our product endorsement
  • See opportunities in the specific territory and develop technical and business propositions that meet the requirements of both the business and the customer, resulting in BRMO leadership and outstanding 6Ps execution in clinic/store
  • Implement commercial activities to ensure: Awareness, full distribution and active championship by the veterinary profession of our products and services in all core disease categories
  • Review store/clinic potential annually to develop deep knowledge of the customers business and organization; build a network of key decision makers/influencers in the store/vet practice. Maintain regular contact with the Health Care Team (HCT)/store personnel and key influencers.
  • Establish merchandising and practice protocols to secure shelf space, excellent visibility, full distribution, adequate inventory and within each clinic and store, as per Perfect Store standards
  • Promptly identify new stores/clinics and secure strong Hills presence therein.
  • Build and promote rapid acceptance, endorsement, support and distribution of new products
  • Increase recruitment of new Hills brand users (eg trial programs), special secondary exhibition to improve return of promotion campaigns
  • Represent Hills at meetings/conferences eg Trade Shows, Pet Training Days, Store Opening Days, Training Days, Congresses, Local and National meetings, Client Meetings and Practice Open Days.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of Hills products through formal training, online training, webinars and self study
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Territory sales role
  • A valid Driving License
