The Planner Manufacturing - Outwork ensures that all the outwork jobs across all divisions within TFG Design Centre is planned and placed with our various suppliers. They ensure that the correct style is allocated to the right supplier based on costs, capability and available capacity.
Key Responsibilities
The planner's duties include:
- Sending an Outwork weekly report to the business of all upcoming styles with Outwork information (suppliers, lead time) and the factory will utilize to book styles with supplier
- Formulating a monthly forecast for all Outwork Suppliers indicating allocated styles
- Formulating a weekly forecast for all Suppliers base on PPC indicating estimate arrival -Ensuring Fast React is updated with standing times and Outwork PPC steps by the CMT and Outwork Coordinator
- Preparing reports by comparing Fast React extracts with manual booking templates and highlighting and escalating and discrepancies
- Facilitating the planning matrix for Lyons Embroidery
- Facilitating process and feed discussions with the Outwork Coordinator and the factory for local pleating
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the Apparel Industry (Working for a Design House or a Fashion Retailer)
- Matric qualification as well as qualification in Clothing Production or relevant tertiary qualification
- Screen Printing Design background (advantageous)
- Solid MS Office Skills (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)
