The Opportunity
The Arnott's Group (TAG) is an iconic Australian powerhouse brand, who are pioneers in the FMCG market, both locally and globally. Undergoing a period of extensive brand growth and strategic evolution, this is an exciting opportunity to help own and shape their iconic legacy into the future.
This is a key role in the Procurement Team as you will be accountable for leading our Packaging spend across The Arnotts Group.
The role is the key connector between our suppliers and business partners in enabling the delivery of great business outcomes - improved value, breakthrough innovation, and enabling a more secure and sustainable supply chain.
The Accountabilities
- Responsible for managing spend to category targets and limit portfolio inflation and leads buying/supply decisions on Projects and/or NPD requirements for categories
- Accountable for buying decision across categories whilst executing the Procurement Strategy
- Responsible for mitigating and managing supply risk within categories
- Direct management of shared resource, high accountability for leading cross-functional teams and managing allocated resources to deliver outcomes
- Responsible for selecting suppliers that will continue to enhance our sustainable Supply Chain and support our strategy
- Responsible for completing the detail of procurement activity for allocated categories (Category Management, RFI/RFP, Supplier Management, Cost Projections, & SAP maintenance) with the resources available
Role
Just like you cant make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:
- Five years experience in a similar role, with at least three years experience leading cross functional teams. Experience managing Packaging categories preferred
- Procurement or commercial negotiating experience
- Strong financial analytical skills and ability to analyse data and draw insights
- Experience with systems such as SAP or equivalent & strong excel skills and broad FMCG or related category industry experience
- Proactive team contributor who is a good communicator and positive influencer of teams
