The Make it Good Company is excited to partner with an award-winning, cutting-edge (medium-sized) creative agency in the search for a Script Writer for a weekly TV talkshow/podcast that focuses on the world of sports. This platform embraces a diverse range of sports, delving into both established league highlights and burgeoning athletic movements. Additionally, it features a segment devoted to sports betting, complemented by the frequent presence of renowned athletes and sports figures.

Responsibilities
- The writer will collaborate with the team in a writers' room on Wednesday mornings, followed by writing a script due by COB Wednesday. Adjustments to the scripts will be made on Thursday mornings, followed by collaboration with the content director and hosts in the afternoon to prepare for the show.
- Over and above this, there will be a requirement for the writer to write various editorial articles for Smash Sports on a regular basis.
- Research thoroughly to stay updated on sports developments, including game outcomes, player updates, and industry changes.
- Write engaging, accurate, and enjoyable scripts for weekly talks, interviews, and special sections, including those about sports betting.
- Work closely with hosts, producers, and teammates to shape content and react to the latest sports news.
- Come up with creative ideas for show sections and guest features that attract a diverse sports fan base and enhance their viewing experience.
- Make sure all content meets high standards for integrity and quality.
- Proven experience in sports journalism or content creation, shown by a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to captivate and inform audiences.
- Wide-ranging knowledge of various sports, including major leagues and niche interests, with an understanding of key dynamics and personalities.
- Has experience on writing scripts for TV productions.
- Able to produce high-quality content within tight deadlines typical for weekly shows.
- Understand sports betting
- Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with a knack for opinionated yet factual storytelling.
- A keen sense of humor that adds depth to content while maintaining its seriousness.
- Understanding of the sports betting scene, with the ability to discuss odds and betting strategies clearly and intelligently.
