SENIOR THEATRE MANAGER

Responsibilities
To provide intellectual, conceptual and practical leadership in technical theatre and venue services through the following approaches:
- Technical and logistic support for internal and external events
- Venue bookings and administration
- Professional communication with clients and stakeholders
- Statutory Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety and Security
- Human Resource Management
- Asset maintenance and management
- Finance Management and Administration
- Three-year National Diploma or Grade 12
- Valid Drivers license
- Three years (with National Diploma) experience in theatre management; theatre sound and lighting and technical experience OR five years (with Grade 12) experience in theatre management; theatre sound and lighting and technical experience.
- Appropriate language and communication skills
- Venue management and operational acumen
- Computer literacy
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with others in order to encourage and support communication and teamwork.
- Ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely.
- Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve the issues.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Skill and ability in coordinating, facilitating, and participating in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
- Knowledge of sound and lighting and other theatre equipment
- Stage set-up including rigs and gell
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements
- Physical ability to perform tasks
