The Toolmaker is responsible for the design and maintenance, specification, follow-up and implementation of the production tools, in line with planning, quality ( including industry standards) and cost targets.
Main Missions
- Preventative / Process maintenance.
- Tooling Improvements.
- Line, process setups.
- Reactive maintenance (breakdowns).
- Manufacture new tooling and spares.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings
- Measuring and mark out the design for the tool
- The operation of all workshop machinery such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Servicing of all moulds/tools
- Attending machine breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem
- Assisting with tool & machine maintenance
- Monitoring tools used to ensure efficient run rates and identify possible improvements
- Carry out work according to the required quality and standards and be capable of working to fine tolerances
- Training and maintaining workplace safety standards
- Using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and vernier calipers to check the tools dimensions

Position Requirements
Trade Tested Toolmaker (Preferably Red Seal)
5 years relevant experience, automotive experience desirable
Tool making experience jigs and fixtures.
