Country Manager - Saudi Tourism Authority

General Summary

This Country Manager will be the main contact for the Saudi Tourism Authority regarding the overall program. They will oversee and provide strategic guidance to the team; ensuring effective development, implementation, and reporting to support PTG Consultings agreement to provide representation services for the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) in North America

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and serves an advisory role to collaborate with and provide strategic oversight to the project.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide a comprehensive training program for the allocated human resources to be proficient in all matters about the destination, consolidated and up-and-coming touristic attractions, the tourism board and its constituents, cultural best practices, trends, and strategies that will resonate more with the new clients, etc.
  • Develop the executive document with the objectives, strategies, tactical plans, and guidelines for the services that will be provided
  • Develop a proposed timeline of activities with specific tasks assigned to each member of the team which will resolve the contract deliverables
  • Develop an internal budget that allows the fulfillment of all established contract deliverables
  • Conduct weekly calls with the PTG Consulting team to monitor and evaluate the fulfillment of the established services
  • Provide formal Status Report monthly to the PTG Consulting leadership including relevant destination client communications and provide weekly minutes of material items resulting from calls conducted with the client. Include information on the contract deliverables, payment updates, and other relevant matters
  • Create client activity reports as required by the Agreement based on the frequency requested by the client destination that shows the progress and fulfillment of the contract requirement timeline
  • Engage regularly with client destination leadership to ensure they are engaged, informed, and enthusiastic about program results and payments
  • Create six-month and year-end report out presentations for the client destination and its stakeholders
  • Conduct efforts to renew the account four months before it is completed
  • Actively pursue opportunities to grow PTG Consultings footprint within the country and region
  • Actively pursue opportunities for PTG Consulting to be featured in regional forums to showcase the success of our client destinations
Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience in international marketing or selling global destinations
  • Established travel trade relationships with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of online and offline tourism marketing and travel distribution channels
  • Experience in managing teams in multiple locations
  • Proven project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • E xperience in working with third-party vendors including price negotiation
  • Experience in planning and managing budgets
  • Event planning experience
  • Superior verbal and written communicator
  • Highly organized self-starter, motivated, and results oriented
  • Team player and relationship builder
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position is remote-based. Commutable to the local office if requested. Domestic and international travel will be required (approx. 40%)

Salary range: USD $135, 000 - 150, 000; actual compensation within this range will be based on location, individual skills and experience.
